**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Coordinator Water Network **to join our team at Council.

The purpose of the position is to deliver the daily management, operational and maintenance functions of the Shire’s water distribution network; providing technical guidance; and planning and directing operational work schedules. The role must ensure that the budget; safety and operating standards; operational/regulatory monitoring and reporting; and staff competencies are adhered to.

The Coordinator is responsible for customer interaction and service delivery to the community, including the review and planning of DAs; provision of quotations for requested works (service connections, mains construction etc.); management and completion of asset project documentation and ensuring compliance and standards are developed and implemented into new service infrastructure and capital works programs.

Located in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW, 1.5 hours south-west of Sydney - Wingecarribee Shire Council is working to create and nurture a vibrant & diverse community in harmony with the region's urban, agricultural and natural environments.

**This position has a requirement to participate in an on call roster**

**Selection Criteria**

1. A Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification, with minimum 7 years solid practical and technical experience in the delivery of operational industry requirements for water headworks and distribution network (including water quality, investigation/construction to WSAA standards).

2. Recognised leadership/management qualification with demonstrated extensive experience in directing, coaching and coordinating several employees with resources to meet key performance parameters (including performance management).

3. Demonstrated experience in the development and management of budgets including equipment resourcing, works quotations, tender development, staffing requirements and knowledge of financial databases.

4. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in development and implementation of guidelines, policies and procedures in accordance with the relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures related to Water Industry.

5. Demonstrated high level skills in strategic investigation/analysis, reporting and excellent oral and written presentation skills.

6. A high level of computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access & MS Projects) and geographical information systems related to Water Industry.

7. Demonstrated project management experience in planning technical standards and problem solving within Water Industry.

8. Highly developed leadership skills including ability to initiate change, continuously improve services and achieve results.

9. Demonstrated experience in customer service standards to align organisation service delivery with customer expectations.

10. Current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C).

**Desirable**
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Water Industry Operations including Fluoride certification.
- Knowledge and experience utilising Operational Control Systems (e.g. SCADA).
- Demonstrated knowledge and management of drinking water management systems including public heath requirements and relevant incident management protocols relating to water distribution and supply.
