**The Role**

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the purpose of this role is to coordinate the day to day operation of the solid and liquid waste processes.

Other core responsibilities of the role include:

- Support and coach the Environmental Team in the achievement of the environmental management system procedures.
- Maintain effective communication within environmental team on daily operations
- Physically operate and coordinate environmental department equipment to achieve department needs including waste processing and segregation, bin servicing, cleaning, trade waste equipment daily operation and the information of these processes.
- An active contributing member of the emergency response team within the role of pollution incident response.
- Maintaining safe, clean environment of all waste handling areas to meet GMP, safety, audit and legal/license requirements creating a pleasant place to work.

**About You**
- Certificate III in Waste Management and/or demonstrated waste management experience
- Capacity & experience leading/coordinating a small team covering 24hr operations
- Forklift licence required or willingness to obtain
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer use
- Physically strong/fit for duty (role is combination of leadership and hands-on/physical tasks)
- Predominantly day shift, with some variation of work hours to collaborate with afternoon/night shift operators
