Join a growing business in the aviation space as their Operations Manager, joining the team in Sydney on a permanent basis. You’ll ensure operational teams meet objectives across finance, operations, and safety, while delivering an exceptional level of customer service.

**Your new role**

In your new role as operations manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Ultimately responsibility for day-to-day operations, resolving any issues or delays, ensuring contractual customer obligations are met, and a high level of customer service is delivered.
- Management of all operational staff, developing a culture of safety, handling recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management, while ensuring necessary staff availability.
- Creating strong cross-functional relationships across key stakeholders both internal and external, and leading optimisation initiatives to improve performance and minimise operating costs.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience in an operations management role, ideally within aviation or a comparable industry (hospitality, security, logistics etc.).
- A track-record of successful people management, leading diverse teams across multiple shifts, comfortable leading team sizes up to 100+ staff.
- Strong commercial acumen, a history of formulating and implementing business improvement initiatives, with excellent communication and influencing skills, coupled with strong IT understanding.
- A valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
