**About the Role**
Due to the ongoing growth of the Rivalea business, we are currently recruiting a people centric HR Officer to join our Diamond Valley Pork (DVP) People & Performance team. Based onsite at our processing facility in Laverton, and reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, this role will actively contribute to the planning and coordination of HR practices and strategies. The HR Officer will be a key contributor in delivering best practice outcomes and will ensure compliance with the policies and programs that assist and advise company leaders in achieving this best practice.
- Coordinate and process local and offshore recruitment including assisting with interviews
- Facilitate induction programs
- Act as the first point of contact for all internal team member employee relations enquiries
- Administer documentation in relation to the employee life-cycle (e.g. training records; Alcohol and Drug records; Probation reports)
- Monitor and report on employee absenteeism, turnover and manning hours
- Coordination of both Onboarding and Orientation programs
- Remunerate against award or agreement requirements
- Support, develop and coach local people managers in relation to their approach and consideration of people issues, ensuring that they understand the impact of these on the individual and the business.
- Coordinate learning and development needs through approval, booking courses, notifying attendees and obtain course feedback
- Identify and recommend training as required
- Be a key user for all HR systems, policies and processes
- Manage exit processes for staff by carrying out exit interviews and off boarding process
**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
- Working knowledge of employee relations legislation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Experience liaising with Business Leaders and interacting with all levels of the organisation
- Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
- Assertiveness, drive, tenacity, innovation and “can do” attitude
- Good conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
- Ability to use MS-Office (primarily PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Approachable and enthusiastic; flexible and adaptable
- Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
- Good organisational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Good judgment and problem-solving ability and is capable of understanding the impact of decision making on the business
