An exciting opportunity has become available in ABB Australia to lead communications for one of its largest business areas with an oversight of the country more broadly. Reporting to the Global Business Line Communications and Marketing Manager, you will lead the communications and marketing for the Process Automation business in Australia and contribute to the business’s success and growth through strategic, integrated marketing communication initiatives. You will also act as local spokesperson for ABB Australia, and be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring and overarching communication strategy for the country, working closely with the business communications and marketing network.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Developing and implementing the communications and marketing strategy for the Process Automation business in Australia, across key industries including mining, pulp & paper and energy
- Strengthening the brand visibility of ABB in Australia more broadly
- Generating content, translating complex information into appealing messages and stories, and creating online and offline material and overseeing, managing, and coordinating events and sponsorships
- Developing and managing the company’s media strategy, identifying, and handling opportunities and issues, and crafting media releases
- Identifying and implementing customer experience initiatives that lead to greater business success, customer satisfaction, growth, and engagement
- Coordinating the crisis communication plan at a country level in line with the global crisis response and guidelines. Safeguarding the company brand identity, corporate design and regulatory compliance in all communications, both internal and external
- Budget forecasting, measurement, analysis and reporting on communication and marketing activities and campaigns

**Your background**:

- Held senior communications or marketing roles for a global and/or complex organization with 12+ years of experience
- Strong expertise in marketing automation and managing a martech stack.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively manage several large and complex projects and programs at any given time, and under time pressure
- Degree in marketing, communications or relevant fields preferred (or equivalent area of study or experience)
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading capabilities are mandatory.
- Strong team player with influential and change management skills
