**Your role and responsibilities**:

Join our dynamic team as a Country Communications Specialist This is an exceptional career opportunity for someone who wants to shape the future of our internal and external communications, coordinate impactful events, and drive engagement across Australia and globally. The work model for the role is Hybrid #LI-Hybrid and offers the flexibility to be based in one of three locations: Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. - Take charge of employee communications and collaborate with local and global teams to share key ABB Corporate content. You'll have the chance to propose and implement innovative communication plans using platforms like Viva Engage and intranet. - Organize and manage a variety of events, from Workplace Gender Equality and Cultural Diversity initiatives to global programs like Safety Month and International Women’s Day. You'll work closely with Employee Reference Groups (ERGs) to ensure these events are meaningful and engaging. - Lead the coordination of country-wide projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with ERGs and other stakeholders. Your leadership will be crucial in driving these initiatives to success. - Craft compelling content for both internal and external audiences, enhancing our brand consistency and boosting employee engagement. You'll oversee our social channels and websites, making sure our digital presence is strong and impactful. - Ensure our brand identity and corporate design are maintained in all communications. You'll also manage the communications budget, ensuring transparency and maximizing efficiency. - Work with both local and global communications teams to ensure timely and effective communication for all initiatives. Your collaboration will help align our communications strategy with our overall business goals.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5-6 years of experience in communications, preferably within a matrix organization and involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven expertise in all facets of internal and external communications, as well as event coordination.
- Strong business partnering and communication skills, with a track record of managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a talent for cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of digital communication platforms and a basic understanding of intranet best practices.
