Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage (APAS), part of the APAS Group of Companies, was founded in 2010 to provide dedicated commercial aircraft storage and part-out services to the international aviation industry. APAS is currently storing and maintaining commercial aircraft from our Alice Springs, Northern Territory base.

**About the role**

Aerotech Aviation is currently looking for a **Quality Assurance and Safety Officer** to join a highly professional team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Quality and Safety, this is a hands-on role focusing on the continued compliance of company operations.
- Conduct internal quality audits in accordance with the audit plan.
- Act as the quality department representative for audits with customer and NAA regulators.
- Conduct investigations and resolve quality and safety issues.
- Follow up audit outcomes, non-conformances, and verify improvements were implemented.
- Develop update and reviewing Company Manuals, Operations and Engineering Procedures, Maintenance Work Instructions and associated documents
- Assist in developing internal training programs to support company operations
- Support the effectiveness and the continued improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management systems (SMS) across the company.
- Travel to Alice Springs 5-10 days per month.

**Requirements**:
**About you**

To be successful in this role it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well-developed analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal skills. You must be someone who can work autonomously who is comfortable driving continuous improvement.
- Completion of a Lead or Internal auditor course
- Hold or previously held a Part 66 Licence or experience on a large aircraft
- Previous experience in an engineering quality and safety role, ideally within a Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organisation is a must
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of CASA, EASA and FAA regulations
- Demonstrated experience in Safety Management Systems, and change management principles
- Be located in Australia (No visa pathway possible)
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing
- Desirable - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
