Responsible for meeting the organizational audit obligations.
- Hold an Aviation Lead Auditor Certificate.
ALG is currently recruiting a **Quality & Safety Lead** for our renowned client based in Brisbane Australia.
The Quality & Safety Lead will report to the Quality Systems Manager and will be responsible for meeting the organizational audit obligations while also providing positive engagement and support with department heads in relation to Quality and Compliance Requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring quality auditors have a clear understanding of the Audit schedule and accountabilities to complete allocated audits as determined.
- Perform all allocated audits in a timely manner, review and approve as required extensions of audit completion dates by the audit team.
- Perform functions assigned by the Head of Safety related to employees skills, experience, or any delegations issued by CASA.
- Complete allocated Investigations and/or provide SME input to Investigations as requested by the Safety Manager.
- Develop members of the Quality team with relation to Quality System requirements and outcomes.
- Assisting in the development of the company audit schedule in consultation with the Quality Systems Manager.
- Coordination and assignment of audits to acquit the audit schedule on time as delegated by the QM.
- Refine the audit reporting to assist in efficient completion of audit reports.
- Host external audit teams as required during organisational 3rd Party Audits.
- Perform and complete Investigations as allocated by the Safety System.
- Provide SME input to Safety Investigations as requested.
- Provide advice and direction in the development of company quality system policy process and procedures.
- Promote and maintain a high standard of quality, safety and security compliance as required by the Company Safety Manual by all subordinate staff.
- Promote safety & security reporting within the eSMS by all staff.
- Maintains a high standard of WH&S and environmental compliance in accordance company policy and state law.
**Job Requirements**
**Experience**:
- Experience in aviation engineering relating to the provision of appropriate documentation, procedures, processes, and support services.
- Demonstrated aviation auditing and/or quality control experience.
- Project management, supervision and coordination experience.
Qualifications:
- Hold an Aviation Lead Auditor Certificate
- Hold/held an Aircraft Maintenance Qualification and/or Licence, or Part 145 audit experience.
- Hold a Safety Investigator Accreditation.
- Demonstrated instructional ability preferably with a CERT IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or equivalent.
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated technical experience and knowledge of domestic aircraft/engines fleet/type.
- Experience and knowledge in an Australian regulatory environment.
- Experience and knowledge of a working airline operation department including ground and air operations.
- Experience and knowledge of a Continuing Airworthiness department.
**Skills**:
- Demonstrated interaction with CASA and 3rd Party organisations in regards to aviation auditing and/or quality control.
- Dealing with manufacturers and subcontractors in relation to supply and services.
- Excellent communications skills - both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focused environment.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Well-developed computing skills, particularly MS Office.
- Ability to think laterally in order to problem solve.
Authorisations:
- Assign only qualified staff to carry out quality inspections and quality audits.
Continuous Improvements:
- Identify and contribute to continuous process and procedures improvement and facilitate the development of such change if assigned.
- Review audit schedule regularly and propose audit frequency aligned with determined risk levels.
People Management:
- Work cooperatively and efficiently to support business objectives.
- Engage and participate in effective and positive team behaviours.
- Comply with all company HR policies and processes.
External and Internal Relationships:
- Liaison with external agencies CASA, ATSB and safety board's as required
- Quality and Safety Systems Managers
- Other managers and General Managers
- QA & Safety team members
- Promote and maintain a high standard of quality, safety and security compliance as required by the Airlines Company Safety Manual with staff team.
