**The opportunity**
Silverchain is seeking an experienced and qualified
**Quality, Safety & Risk Coordinator**, to join the Queensland team on a permanent basis, full-time, or part-time is available. This role is required to provide leadership, direction and coordination of the state quality, safety and risk program aligned with the Best Care Strategic Quality and Safety Framework, and implementation of all clinical governance systems.
Our
**Quality, Safety & Risk Coordinator** is responsible for collaborating, enabling and implementing state-based safety, quality and risk functions to support point of care staff to deliver Best Care and actively lead and contribute to a culture of improvement and teamwork.
**Key responsibilities**
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Facilitate the integration, continued maintenance and evolution of the continuous improvement program.
- Act as a quality, safety and risk resource to operational services by ensuring clarity of focus on quality, safety and risk in the delivery of sustainable services to the community.
- Provide leadership and support for the achievement of the Best Care strategic and operational objectives to the business unit/state in relation to delivering best care every time.
- Quality analysis and reporting to facilitate an evidence-based approach to continuous improvement.
- Supporting, coaching and assisting the delivery of the overall clinical governance and quality management systems with the team.
- Monitor incident management and assist with investigations, coordinate incident management to ensure alignment Standards and all regulatory requirements.
- Evaluation of clinical service quality improvement and assurance programs; and the identification, assessment and management of associated risks.
**About you**
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and incident management in a care setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the development and implementation of risk management and compliance systems and reporting.
- Demonstrated understanding, knowledge, expertise and achievement of National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards and other external assessment and licensing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change in a care delivery environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the process for escalation of serious incidents and feedback.
- Demonstrated understanding of audit principles to contribute to the maintenance of the client incident and feedback management systems.
- High-level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated foundational conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse information and provide reports relating to findings.
