Fleet Workshop Manager

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee day-to-day operations of our workshop in Maddington WA. You will also support our road surfacing operations across Western Australia. You’ll manage workload distribution, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
**Key responsibilities**
- Lead and motivate a team of mechanics, technicians and support staff
- Ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance, servicing and repairs of fleet assets
- Drive a strong Zero Harm and compliance culture in all workshop activities
- Maintain effective communication with clients, operational managers and project teams
- Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Manage workshop budgets, work plans and resource allocations
- Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance, including record-keeping and audits
**What you’ll bring**
- A trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic or Fitter) or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a workshop or fleet maintenance team
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Proven planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of asset management systems and best practices (desirable)
