We're seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Tactile Ground Surface Indicator (TGSI) Maker.

What are TGSIs?

Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs) are textured ground tiles installed in public spaces to assist people with vision impairments. These tiles provide essential guidance and warning cues through their raised patterns, helping to make communities safer and more inclusive.

About the Role:

This hands-on role involves the manufacturing of TGSI in our Maddington workshop. You'll be working independently and occasionally supporting the workshop team when time allows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empty tile racks in the morning
  • Mix small batches of cement roughly 10kg in weight
  • Make tactiles for the day.
  • Assist in the workshop with general duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Fit and healthy – the role involves regular bending and lifting
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg regularly as part of daily duties
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with initiative
  • Neat, tidy, and detail-focused work ethic
  • Current car licence (C class) required
  • Available for immediate start
  • Valid work visa or Australian work rights required

Desirable:

  • Tiling / Bricklaying / Hands On experience will be looked upon favourably
  • Work references to verify past experience and reliability
