A new state government entity, MAP Co is responsible for the delivery of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation project as well as the operations, programming, promotion and maintenance of Federation Square and the new Melbourne Arts Precinct public spaces.
Set to boost Melbourne's standing as a creative and cultural capital and to harness the immense potential of one of the most vibrant arts corridors in the world, MAP Co is delivering capital projects including the $1.7 billion Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation project.
The Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation project will deliver The Fox: NGV Contemporary, a new gallery dedicated to contemporary art and design; an 18,000 square metre public open space in the heart of the precinct; significant upgrades to the State Theatre; and new restaurants and bars throughout the space. When complete, the Melbourne Arts Precinct will shine a light on Australia's incredible creative talent and serve a global cultural tourist drawcard.

The Role

Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders the Project Team Administrator will play a key role in providing administrative and project support to the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation Project Team (MAPT).
The Project Team Administrator will have a focus on reporting, quality assurance and timeliness of documentation utilising their ‘can-do' attitude and collaborative approach to ensure a continued culture of excellence and integrity.
Accountabilities
- Provide high-quality generalist and administrative support to support the planning and delivery of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation (MAPT) project.
- Provide administrative support to the Director, MAP Co including calendar management, meeting coordination and room bookings.
- Preparation of slides, briefs, board papers, and reports.
- Administrative management of key documents to ensure consistency, accuracy and presentation to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain relationships across the department, and with external stakeholders to ensure appropriate informational flow to support the work of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation group.
- Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high-performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.
Your Experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and experience of providing confidential, clear and persuasive information.
- Demonstrable experience of preparing reports, briefs and recommendations on a variety of issues.
- Demonstrable experience of working with competing demands and the ability to manage critical deadlines effectively.
- Ability to effectively prioritise within a project environment. Able to identify processes, tasks and resources to achieve goals in a timely manner.
- Experience of working in a flexible, face paced environment, able to adapt to change and open to new ideas and approaches.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, understanding needs and issues and able to negotiate in order to implement effective solutions.
**Qualifications**:
- A relevant qualification would be well regarded.
