About the role
We are looking for someone with an interest in organisational management & data analysis to support LXRP in providing analysis, insights and recommendations. This is a really interesting role, within a data rich environment, where you will be:
- Identifying data generating sources, systems and stakeholders
- Developing tools and processes to extract that data, and using it to establish frameworks and support best practice recommendations
- Defining and maintaining data frameworks across LXRP
- Engaging with people that generate and own the data to ensure consistency, and educating them on the benefits of utilising proper project controls practices to enhance insights and innovations
You will be dealing with people from across the business, from the Engineering and Sustainability teams through to Costing and Finance etc. Your role will be to understand how each area generates data, contextualises it, and shares it from team to team. From there, we want you to get creative and own the design of a unified framework so that project mapping, trending and informing can start to take place.
This is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary between $103,920 and $125,735 + superannuation. We are working in a ‘hybrid' capacity, which means some days in the office and some from home. We also welcome any applicants that are interested in working 4 days per week, as this role can be flexible depending on the person (with salary pro-rata to suit).
About you
You're a creative, ‘strive for better' type of thinker - you don't settle for how things are right now and are constantly looking at how things could be done better. Understanding the wider picture and how one thing impacts the next thing, and where your role is in that. You're a people person, and you are skilled in understanding how teams operate and communicate information to each other.
Let's get technical
- Exposure to project delivery organizations in a technical or controls role will be beneficial for you to have - particularly within the complex major infrastructure space (or similar).
- Experience designing a similar project controls framework would also be desirable - something you can talk through with us where you have looked to improve on current project controls processes.
- You're a gun at Excel. You're the person people come to when they need help creating intricate spreadsheets to meet complex goals.
- You're used to diving into large datasets to understand, trend and contextualise their contents. Finding the story and the narrative that sits within the raw information.
- Having an understanding of LXRP and what we do is also beneficial. We have a huge impact on the community, and this role is project impacting work. You will be able to make a huge difference, and part of that is selling the changes you come up with to the rest of the business.
LXRP is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we strongly encourage and welcome folks from minorities, women, the disabled, First Nations, Veterans, and all other qualified applicants to apply.
About the team The Project Controls and Analytics Team are small and mighty, and they're making changes that have a massive impact to LXRP and the community. The manager of the team (Kevin Chen) fosters creativity, and innovative thinking - all ideas are welcome. There is a lot to learn off him, as he has much experience across multiple industries and offers a unique perspective on the way things are done in construction project controls.
