**Who we are**
The Cyber Security and Shared Services Branch support staff within the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water with Information Communication Technology (ICT) needs and looks after the department’s cyber security. Our service desks and VIP support teams assist with Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment requests, incidents, telephone, and conference services across all areas of the departments. We provide Information Communication Technology (ICT) support to the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) and regional and remote offices around Australia. We advise on cyber security and help business areas to conduct their work safely and securely.
The ICT VIP Support Service Section within the Cyber Security & Shared Services Branch is responsible for VIP ICT coordination and support for Ministerial and SES offices across the DAFF and DCCEEW departments. We are a highly responsive team that are able to work across numerous technologies and teams to provide ICT service and technologies.
**The Job**
As an ICT VIP Support Officer, you will work collaboratively across the Division to support the ICT requirements of the Departments VIPs within DAFF and/or DCCEEW as well as Ministerial Offices, identifying and supporting service improvements and reporting team activities to the Team Leader & Director. Work comes through a variety of mediums including a rotating phone number and a group mailbox. The job also requires movement between work areas, as well as buildings (including Parliament House). Under limited direction you will contribute to a broad range of activities, including:
- providing professional ICT support service to senior executive officers within the Department/s and the Ministers’ offices
- ensuring quality outputs for a team including the development of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise. Conduct regular quality assurance of work area processes and manage identified risks.
- helping key customer groups to achieve outcomes in accordance with a range of key performance measures
- undertaking research to identify, analyse and review issues and problems, recognising potential issues and investigating practical solutions
- ensuring compliance of the _Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013_ regarding managing public money and resources.

- Knowledge and experience_
- Applicants should have demonstrated experience working in an ICT operations environment.
- Experience operating in Operations Support or Customer Service Role is Desirable
- A knowledge of ICT End User systems.
**Eligibility**
The successful applicant must hold and maintain a valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s licence.
**Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry you must be an Australian citizen.
