We have a brand-new role available within our Bank Resilience team for a Manager of our Financial Crimes team. This is a role that is responsible for the strategic delivery, implementation, and maintenance of RACQ Banks’ Financial Crimes Team. Leading a small team of fraud professionals, you will provide strong leadership to come together to deliver programs, educate and promote fraud awareness. As Manager Financial crimes your key duties will be to:
- Provide strong management and leadership to support to achieve operational performance goals and objectives
- To manage and facilitate the development and delivery of programs to satisfy the business requirements of RACQ
- To actively promote and undertake activities for continuous improvement and refinement of business processes, efficiencies, procedures and guidelines
- Deliver risk-based financial crime activities for risk management, controls testing and monitoring which provides assurance over the business risk
- Understand Industry wide Financial Crimes environment, and an ability to determine emerging trends and adapt accordingly
- Develop and deliver initiatives to educate both RACQ employees and members on how to protect themselves and others from falling victim of fraud and scams
- Work in close collaboration with both Bank Risk 1st and 2nd line teams and other group risk functions.
**About you**
- At least five years’ relevant experience within financial services industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with proven experience managing and working in cross-functional teams
- Thorough understanding of risk management, audit or compliance within a financial services environment including an understanding of compliance issues pertaining to relevant legislation such as the NPP, ePayments Code, AML/CTF act etc.
- Demonstrated operational effectiveness as well as excellent analytical, organisation and prioritisation skills
- Well-developed communication skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including executive levels.
