**Community Engagement Officer, Clerk 7/8**

**Your role**

Anti-Discrimination NSW (ADNSW) strives to eliminate discrimination in New South Wales by resolving enquiries and complaints, raising awareness about discrimination and its impacts, and taking action to influence change.

In this role you will consult and collaborate with organisations and individuals working with the community to ensure that ADNSW community engagement activities are aligned to resolve key issues and concerns.

**What you’ll do**

You will also:

- Develop effective community, government and industry networks to enhance the effectiveness of ADNSW community engagement activities, and to ensure the ADNSW is well-informed of key issues to effectively fulfil its legislative purpose.
- Prepare and present community information sessions.
- Host stalls and exhibit at events.
- Develop projects and initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders including people with lived experience of discrimination.
- Work within the agreed budget in terms of program expenses such as venue, catering and travel.
- Promote the benefits of equal opportunity and anti-discrimination principles and practice to people of NSW.

**What we’re looking for**
- Community engagement or similar equivalent experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in adult education, engagement, community services, communications or a related field.
- Experience working with multicultural communities.
- Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
