**Community Engagement Officer (Part-Time, 5-Month Contract)**

**Organisation**: Travengers AU - Autism Travel
**Location**: Semi remote, with attendance at local events in Parramatta and Western Sydney
**Hours**: 20 hours per week
**Contract Length**: 5 months

Are you passionate about creating inclusive and transformative travel experiences for neurodivergent individuals? Travengers AU is seeking a dynamic **Community Engagement Officer** to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you’ll help establish Travengers in Parramatta by building brand awareness, fostering partnerships, and delivering meaningful programs. The role forms part of the delivery of a grant from Parramatta City Council.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Build connections**: Establish Travengers' presence in Western Sydney by building strong relationships with local communities and key organisations.
- **Develop partnerships**:Identify and cultivate collaborations with organisations and businesses to support Travengers' mission, focusing on high-impact opportunities.
- **Attract sponsorships**: Identify potential sponsors, develop compelling proposals, and build relationships with businesses and community leaders to secure sponsorships that support Travengers’ programs and initiatives.
- **Outreach and onboarding**:Conduct outreach calls to participants and carers, explain Travengers' services, understand their needs, and assist with onboarding.
- **Support event planning**:Assist with organising the launch event and attend occasional local events to connect with the community.
- **Create participant surveys**:Develop 1-2 surveys to gather feedback from program participants and improve services.

**Who You Are**:

- **Experienced**: Proven track record in successfully delivering programs or projects, or in partnership and/or community engagement roles.
- **A connector**: Skilled at building relationships and engaging with diverse groups.
- **Enthusiastic**: Highly motivated and excited about making an impact in the neurodivergent community.
- **Organised**: Capable of managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- **Knowledgeable**: Experience with the NDIS is preferred.
