Our local government client in inner Sydney is seeking a WHS advisor to join the team for a minimum 6 month contract. Clients with property, construction backgrounds are preferred.

The role pays up to $62.88 plus super per hour and is based in the CBD. There are flexible working arrangements when possible, and the role would normally be around 38 hours per week.

The key position objectives to be achieved by the position include:
Ensure that the highest industry standards and practices for WHS and

Environment are achieved for all developments managed across the LGA's

portfolio and to support in the achievement of the LGA's corporate objectives.

Lead a culture of best practice management of WHS, risk and compliance in the Property Services unit.

Develop Property staff to ensure they have skills and competency to meet best practice standards in WHS and Environmental Management.

Deliver advice, and provide direction in standards in regards to LGA property, infrastructure, and to assist in building capability of the Division in areas of Work Health and Safety and environmental performance.

To be held accountable for working conditions under the control of the position and for detecting any unsafe or unhealthy conditions or behaviour and to take

immediate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health, safety and welfare arising from any activity

Deliver advice, and provide direction in standards in regards to LGA property, infrastructure, and to assist in building capability of Property Services in areas of WHS and environmental performance
