**About the Company & Role**
We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Practice Manager to oversee an accounting firm's day-to-day operations in Brisbane. As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team of accounting professionals and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice.
This is a role where you will lead from the front, drive change, foster a fun and high performance culture, and work alongside the Directors of the firm.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the accounting practice's daily operations, including workflow management, staff scheduling, and client relations.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve practice efficiency, profitability, and growth.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of staff members.
- Oversee client billing and accounts receivable and provide support to the Managing Director on financial management matters.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture and maintain a high level of staff morale.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred, not essential)
- At least 5 years of experience in a management role in an accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant regulations and standards
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
