The Compliance Intervention Data Analytics (CIDA) Section provides data services and reporting to support the undertaking of compliance interventions to improve the accuracy of government outlays.

CIDA’s role involves data extraction, analysis, reporting and visualisations to inform the management of compliance activities.

**Tenure**
The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

This role is located in Box Hill, Melbourne, VIC.

**What you will do**

Data Analyst professionals analyse datasets with a variety of tools to research and solve organisational issues and identify trends and insights to support organisational outcomes.

Data Analysts analyse datasets with a variety of tools to research and solve organisational issues and identify trends and insights in support of organisational outcomes.

Data Analysts provide assistance to identify and achieve efficiencies, and provide problem solutions through analysis, presentation and visualisation of information and data.

They are responsible for assisting in the collection and examination of information and data, and contributing to the work area’s reports, findings, decision making or recommendations using an evidence based approach.

Working under the support and general direction of senior staff, they make decisions within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility

**As a Data/ Analyst you will work as part of a multi-skilled team to**:

Duties may include some or all of the following:

- Gather, examine and evaluate both qualitative and quantitative data and information
- Contribute towards operational objectives by assisting in analysing business processes, gathering information and preparing output requirements for review by senior staff
- Perform basic research and analysis to assist in the preparation of documentation, such as reports or briefs, for review by senior staff
- Use information databases and analytical tools to perform data extraction and retrieval for reporting tasks to support team’s objectives
- Assist with quality assurance and data validation
- Build rapport with stakeholders to support team’s priorities and goals
- Understand and provide advice to stakeholder on routine enquiries
- Assist in identifying problems, offering solutions and escalating issues to senior staff
- Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including team plans, tools, procedures and/or business process changes
