**About the team**
The Intelligence Branch uses intelligence gathering capabilities to identify and manage risks of exploitation of programs administered by the agency. Fraud is addressed through proactive intelligence strategies, sophisticated analysis and the production of high quality intelligence assessments to support the agency's investigations. This multifaceted intelligence function also collects, collates, analyses and responds to information provided to the agency from a range of sources and agencies.

The Real Time Analysis team’s primary focus is on preventing fraud and protect the Australian public by providing a timely, and effective pre-payment analysis functionality. To do this we undertake near real-time checks on claims and transactions to disrupt fraud attempts, and prevent our customers from becoming victims of fraud.

One of the goals for the Real Time Analysis is to act as an APS4 entry point for Intelligence Officers into the branch, providing a development pathway for staff to progress to other Intelligence teams. **Tenure**
The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

**Location of role**

This role is located in Melbourne CBD, VIC.

**What you will do**
Intelligence Support Officers work with-in the Real Time Analysis team undertaking pre-payment analysis to identify potential fraudulent claims and transactions.

**As an Intelligence Officer, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team to**:

- Undertake research to action fraud alerts, that are triggered through the agencies Real-Time fraud detection systems;
- Gather information and data to support decisions;
- Use information databases and analytical tools for reporting tasks;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support team’s priorities and goals;
- Collaborate with your team members to help with team initiatives and projects.
- Exercise delegation in accordance with legislation and guidelines.

What you must have:_**
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a diagnosis of autism (includes Autism Spectrum Disorder; Asperger’s Syndrome; Autistic Disorder or PDD-NOS). ‘Specialisterne will be required to provide evidence of your diagnosis to Services Australia to confirm your eligibility for the program.’
- Must have proof of Australian Citizenship and agree to Services Australia background checks
- Must be able to participate in the Specialisterne Workshop and Assessment Centre process
