About the Role

We have an opportunity for a curious individual with strong business/process knowledge (ideally in Customer Markets) to join our team as a Fraud Analyst
- data & reporting.

This role is critical as part of the Fraud Management's Team transformation into an enhanced fraud assurance function. The Fraud Analyst role is primarily responsible for developing, optimising and providing insight & advice on prevention controls within the fraud space.

The Fraud Analyst will assist in identifying, developing and monitoring effective fraud management controls across AGL’s Customer Markets. This role contributes to ensuring AGL’s corporate governance objectives are met, protecting AGL’s customers and mitigating any revenue leakage to AGL or our customers caused by fraud events.

What you’ll be doing: (Main accountabilities)
- Assisting in the design and continually developing an effective fraud assurance framework. This includes ensuring effective processes, procedures and controls are in place and performance is continually monitored and reported.
- Enhance fraud detection capabilities through leveraging data mining and analysis techniques detecting fraud events in a timely manner. This includes using knowledge of existing fraud events to design, operationalise and enhance controls.
- Create management reports, dashboards and data visualisations to monitor fraud trends and raise the visibility and impact of fraud across Customer Markets.

About You

What you’ll bring to the table:

- Experience in data analysis and/or behavioral pattern identification
- Experience in interrogating, interpreting and manipulating large datasets to deliver business reporting and insights
- Strong knowledge of analytical scripting and tools to produce reporting using both SQL and Power BI (preferred)
