**About the company**

Working within this wonderful Shared Services team as Payroll Officer, within a team of 20.. This is an exciting role for a for someone with 1-2 years looking to grow their career in a skilled and experienced team responsible for payrolling the Schools in Melbourne. This role is Full time and permanent.

**Responsibilities**
- End to end payroll processing through TechOne
- On board new employees and enter variations into system
- Process termination payments
- Process salary packaging arrangements and salary deductions.
- Update Personal leave entitlements where there is an increase in FTE.
- Validate data entry and payroll reports.
- Prepare Payroll Month End reports and reconcile all payroll deductions, creditor accounts and clearing accounts.
- Provide payroll assistance and support to school
- Perform other duties as assigned by team leader and department manager

**Requirements/Skills**
- 1-2 years’ experience working as a payroll officer
- Experience with Tech One highly advantageous, alternatively SAP or other large payroll functions
- Must maintain a high attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proven experience in working with, understanding of, and interpreting relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements and statutory/legislative requirements.
- Time management skills, comfortable working towards deadlines
- Ideally from a NFP, education or health background
- Running payroll from a medium to large organisation
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the capability to communicate effectively with school Principals and Administrative Officers within the organisation and external stakeholders.
