**The Division**

The Greater Sydney Division integrates transport modes including trains, metro and buses; critical infrastructure and services to support Sydney’s growing metropolitan population, projected to swell to over 12 million within the next 40 years.

**The Opportunity**

The role sits within the Greater Sydney Investment and Portfolio team who are responsible for developing the Greater Sydney planning and delivery pipeline through provision of an efficient and effective interface between asset strategy, planning, development and delivery functions.

The role specifically leads the development of the Greater Sydney Asset and Services Plan (ASP). The ASP outlines the cost, risk and performance of the division's assets and services over a 10-year view in the delivery of the Greater Sydney transport outcomes. The role must successfully collaborate with a number of other internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the strategic, technical and financial inputs for the Asset and Services Plan. An understanding of the transport industry and asset management principles is required.

The development of the ASP is a maturing process for Greater Sydney and this role is also responsible for working closely with the Safety Environment and Regulation Asset Management Business Partner to ensure continuing capability growth across the division in the asset management area of practice. There is an expectation that this role will work with Greater Sydney stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the lower-level asset and services plans that exist within the division.

The role may be required to support other portfolio management functions within the team such as portfolio performance reporting, business case evaluation and prioritisation of investment opportunities.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Support the establishment and maintenance of an effective and collaborative interface across asset strategy, planning, development and delivery for the Sydney portfolio.
- Lead the development of the Greater Sydney ASP.
- Provide assurance and support in the development of the modal ASPs
- Prepare and present targeted presentations to Executive level Greater Sydney stakeholders on the ASP, seeking feedback and endorsement on the document development.
- Support the development and implementation of a Greater Sydney asset management maturity plan to align with best practice (ISO 55001) as guided by the Safety Environment and Regulation division.
- Establish strong working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that outcomes are articulated, understood and achieved and make a substantial contribution to the wider business.
- Coordinate technical, financial and strategic information from stakeholders and translate into a meaningful narrative for Greater Sydney
- Lead working groups and training with Greater Sydney modal and operator and maintainer stakeholders
- Coordinate and lead the review of asset management documentation applicable to the Greater Sydney assets and services, seeking SME advice where required.
- Assist the development and prioritisation of Greater Sydney’s Capital Investment Plan and Greater Sydney ASP, including adjustments for approved / allowable funding
