**Who we are**
The Regional Service Management, Property, Problem and Major Incident Management (RSMPPM) section provides end-user support and services across all regions, provides ICT property project services across all regions, manages Problem and Major Incident Management for all ICT workstreams, maintains a DSD presence at all major locations, and services staff working at all levels and across all business streams within the department. We are also a key part of Shared Services delivery to DCCEEW within our workstreams. We collaborate across our branch and division to manage or assist with Change, Incident, Problem, VIP, Telco, Property, Project, Service Partner, Shared Services and other issues on behalf of the division as required within our remit and footprint.

**The Job**
The duties of the position may include, but are not limited to:

- delivering ICT services and support to departmental staff, both locally and remotely
- engaging with business, identifying trending ICT issues for resolution, and assisting with end-to-end IT solution management through the department’s service providers
- providing ICT support in property related projects nationally
- contributing to, and delivering, ICT service projects across the department including the provision of training
- assisting with delivery of ICT support and services to Senior Executive Officers, Ministers, Parliamentary staff, Secretary, their staff, and other nominated VIP clients
- managing staff and routine tasks within the DSD Regional Service Management team
- ensuring quality outputs for the team including the development of specialist, professional and technical expertise
- regularly evaluating processes, policies, and tools to ensure they are fit for purpose and seek ways to continually improve efficiency
- supporting the ICT strategic plan and its key deliverables, including the identification of continuous improvement opportunities
- assisting with and/or manage ICT Major Incident and Problem Management for DSD.

**Please note** that this recruitment process will be used to initially fill one vacancy in Melbourne. The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the division across the locations advertised where the duties are of a similar nature.

**What we are looking for**
**Knowledge and experience**
It is desirable that you have:

- experience working in ICT service delivery in an operational environment utilising the ITIL Service Management Framework.
- experience or a broad understanding of project, change or vendor management practices within an ICT environment.
