The organisation is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate person to join a growing team of professionals committed to expanding the business to deliver high quality biodiversity conservation outcomes and make significant contributions to a nature-positive future.

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Volunteer and Visitor Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the volunteer engagement program and its management across all seven Nature Foundation reserves and supporting nature-based tourism activities. Working collaboratively with all staff, the role ensures the effective implementation of the organisation’s volunteer engagement strategy. Key outcomes for the role include:

- the development and implementation of a highly effective Volunteer Engagement Strategy that recruits, manages, supports, and recognises Nature Foundation Volunteers;
- the establishment of a cohort of Nature Foundation volunteers that are respected and valued and undertaking work activities that are meaningful and personally rewarding and contribute toward the organisational objectives of the Nature Foundation;
- the development of a Nature Foundation volunteering administration system to develop new volunteering opportunities, manage volunteering recruitment and induction, support day-to-day volunteering management, and manage volunteer data recording and reporting;
- the development of new nature-based tourism products and collaborations that are consistent with the conservation and community engagement strategies of the Nature Foundation;
- coordinated day-to-day management of nature-based tourism activities, including annual tourism promotion, development of partnerships with commercial tourism operators, and completing tourism related reporting and administration;
- safe and effective Nature Foundation volunteers and reserve visitors, including members of the public and nature-based tourists.
