The Modbury Hospital serves a community of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Some people may find the hospital difficult to navigate to find the ward or service they need which can often be stressful. Guide volunteers are often the first face a visitor sees when entering the hospital and have the important role of greeting patients and visitors as they arrive, escorting or directing them to where they need to go and to make the hospital a more welcoming and friendly experience.

Skills:· Good communication and excellent customer service skills.· Ability to work with wide range of individuals from different cultures, ethnicities, personalities, and linguistic backgrounds.· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team as required.· A warm, friendly, approachable, and easy-going personality.· Be comfortable approaching people to offer support and assistance they need.Shifts available on a Thursday

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Time required

Shifts are: 8:15 am - 12:15 & 12:15 - 4:15 pmMinimum commitment of 1 regular weekly shift is required.
