A Global leader in the minerals and resource industry, is seeking an experienced Lead Project Information Management Officer to join their team.

Our client, a Global leader in the minerals and resource industry, is seeking an experienced Lead Project Information Management Officer to assist with a large-scale project from within the corporate office based in Perth CBD.

Working hours: Full time 40 Hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Assignment: 6-12 months
Location: Perth based

**T**he Role**

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

- Lead the Specialist(s) Project Information Management within the team providing effective leadership, direction, motivation, guidance and mentoring
- Develop team capabilities through effective leadership and training to provide solid development plans and a robust succession pipeline of identified talent
- Deputise for and provide support to the Manager Project Information Management
- Contribute to the process of continuous improvement of project information management
- Effective and cohesive problem solving and decision making across project information management responsibilities
- Put measures in place to ensure a quality service is delivered by the Specialist(s) Project Information Management
- Interaction and engagement with functional groups to advance consistency
- Liaise with and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding project information management.
- Provide direction with counterparts in EPCMs/External Contractors.
- Ensure detailed work instruction and procedures are in place (to support the standards) and are maintained and adhered to, this includes developing these where required.
- Collection and collation of statistics for monthly reporting
- Provide training/mentoring in document management processes and systems

**Experience Required**
- Several years of experience in, and a broad understanding of information management in large scale major capital projects environment.
- Proven experience using Aconex and the SmartPlant suite of tools including SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) on large scale projects.
- In depth knowledge of engineering and vendor document control practices, and working knowledge of commercial document control, archiving and correspondence management.
- Experience with setting up document control process and procedures for large scale projects.
