Civcon Civil & Project Management is seeking a Finance Manager to join the Senior Management team reporting to the General Manager / Director. At Civcon, we pride ourselves on our outstanding service and ability to deliver complex civil construction and utilities projects to the highest standards of safety and quality. We have developed a firm reputation as a contractor of choice within the Perth CBD and metropolitan region.
About the role
The position requires the development, management, maintenance and enhancement of the financial integrity of the company and related entities through the provision of a responsive finance and accounting service that fulfils group the of Companies' internal financial reporting requirements and meets the finance and accounting needs of key stakeholders.
In addition, the Finance Manager is accountable for accurately forecasting organisational financial outcomes under the direction of the General Manager / Director.
Duties will include
Successful Applicants shall be able to display the following attributes:

Management and delivery of the finance function including timely and accurate collating, preparation and interpreting of reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting periods.

Preparation and monitoring of budgets, actuals and forecasts for the group, individual business units, and related entities.
-
Working together with the Corporate Accountant to manage and deliver management accounts, financial forecasting, weekly cashflow and coordination of audit activities.
-
Manage the group, business, and related entities financing with external banks and financial institutions.
-
Consolidating monthly valuations, overheads and project cash forecasts into short and medium term reporting for the General Manager / Director.

Working together with the Corporate Accountant in refining and maintaining accounting, methods and policies to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data and forecasts
-
Management of creditors, debtors and cash flows in accordance with the groups' policies, practices and processes.

Contributing to the strategic financial direction for the financial function in line with the groups' business strategy

Managing and developing the financial team, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
About you
Ideally you will have the following experience and capabilities:
-
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred)
-
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance Manager role involving AR, AP, payroll and financial management reporting;
-
Understanding or experience within the construction industry and/or project management
-
Experience with Cheops and CheopsWeb
-
High attention to detail and accuracy
-
Understanding of ASIC, ASX, and ATO requirements
-
Leadership, management and communication skills
