Our
**Federal Government** client is seeking to engage an
**APS5 Project Officer** in the
**Strategy Branch**, on a contract for 12 months in Geelong.

The
**Strategy Branch** develops and delivers highly complex and significant outcomes, projects and work programs that have strategic and operational impact to the Agency in delivering better experiences and outcomes for participants. The branch ensures priorities and solutions are transitioned into action, for delivery by the relevant implementation group.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Performing research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
- Contributing to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Assisting with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Assisting with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve program, project and business outcomes.

**To be considered for this role you will be able to**:

- Write briefing and research documents and reports suitable for government and senior executives Research and analyse data (qualitative and quantitative) to develop understanding of systemic concerns of participants Organise and support meetings with internal and external stakeholders (such as scheduling, minute taking, recording of actions, and meeting follow up)
- Show good organisational skills to keep track of workflow Experience with government writing (desirable) Understand how to create accessible documents in a range of formats (desirable)
