**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Officer, to join the Government Relations branch in ensuring that the Agency strategically drives priorities within state and territory governments and Commonwealth departments.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS5 level role offering $53.63 hourly + Superannuation. To be based out of Geelong.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Coordinating, and maintaining accurate records of, expenditure on co-design and engagement activities
- Contributing to financial transactions, reporting, procurement and contract management as required
- Collaborating with team members to achieve project and business outcomes.
- Assisting the team with monitoring and reviewing project activities against plans and schedules.
- Assisting with the coordination internal and external consultation, engagement and meetings involving key disability stakeholders, including Council and Reference Group members, and NDIA staff.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of process and procedures.
- Provide logístical support to Council, Reference Group Members and NDIA staff including travel, accommodation and venue hire, as required

**About you**
- Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
- Able to work independently or under limited guidance
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues
- Can support internal and external networks
- Strong written & verbal communication
- Previous background within Disability or Government highly advantageous
