**About this role**
This is a newly created role in our fast-growing Energy team. As part of the Australasian energy business, this role fits into established technical and consulting teams across the region. You will work on a range of Australasian and international assignments, predominantly as the lead for Offshore wind projects, and support on other related renewable energy, hydro-electric and storage projects, or as otherwise agreed with your Group Leader.

The main focus of the role is to lead, direct and scope projects, shaping the Arup Offshore Wind business and mentoring and training staff on such energy projects.

**What will I do?**
- Lead the growth of the Offshore Wind business in Australasia, while assisting the other regional teams.
- Develop and implement longer term plans in line with the Arup business strategy in general and the Energy strategy in particular.
- Work in close collaboration with Business Leaders to build client relationships, secure pipeline and negotiate major contracts.
- Support the development, design and management of large, complex, long term projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints.
- Support client relations and representing Arup at a high level regionally, nationally and to some extent internationally.

**What will I bring?**
- Demonstrable experience in delivering complex energy related projects, primarily in Offshore wind but also other technologies and credibility to be able to influence the project development processes with our key clients.
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar area.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large scale energy projects and teams.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice.
