Continuing a trend of bold and targeted growth in our ANZ region, we have an opportunity for a dynamic, offshore wind professional to join our team in a key strategic appointment. This is a unique, Australia-wide based position, that will enable you to develop expertise across our ANZ and wider Asia Pacific region. Previous offshore wind experience or experience working in other related offshore & wind-related fields is essential. A degree of agility to travel nationally will be required as needed.
- Reporting to the Head of Renewables, Australia this role will be responsible for project development across our offshore wind and renewables project portfolio. This will enable the incumbent to expand their leadership opportunities as our business grows.
- As an offshore wind professional, you’ll provide technical support to a wide variety of stakeholders including developers, original equipment manufacturers, regulators and financing institutions while working on a range of international renewable projects with the Australian Renewables Leader, providing:

- Technical advisory/due diligence for lenders, developers, and investors
- Owner's engineering, construction supervision and design services
- Line manages offshore wind specialists and act as project leader to oversee the delivery of offshore wind consultancy (owner’s/lender’s technical advisor) projects for clients worldwide and ensure they are delivered on time, on budget and with zero errors.
- Coordination of internal Mott MacDonald, and external resource where needed, deliverable review and acceptance, budget and time adherence, client liaison, and internal reporting on offshore wind projects.
- Strategic development and leadership for the offshore business in Mott MacDonald including liaison with other global regions and preparation of bids for new work.

This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Perth.
- A Team Leader who is highly experienced in offshore wind technologies and market conditions, with demonstrable experience in project management of offshore wind projects, either as a developer or consultant with client-facing experience. You also bring:

- Degree qualifications in engineering or similar technical field, with an extensive career history working within multi-disciplinary engineering environments.
- Experience in people management in a consultancy environment, and in a client-facing role.
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and written. You have a strong ability to explain technical issues to non-engineers, including Clients.
- Experience in reviewing technical reports for clients, so attention to detail is paramount.
- Able to collate, analyse and act upon complex and diverse information from a variety of sources and give advice for senior management level decision making.
