As a leading aged care provider, BlueCross offers a wide range of flexible and responsive aged and community care services all over Melbourne's North, West, South East, and Eastern Suburbs.

Shifts can vary from 4-12 hours length, and can/be willing to work overnight - either Sleepover shift or Active night duty. Inner East and Bayside area.

Services typically delivered between 8am and 8pm, Mon-Fri. Weekends available.

Our Carers assist our clients with personal care needs, domestic support, shopping, and respite care. Whether you are qualified or unqualified, we have a role for you to find your SPARK

**The Role**:

- Providing in-home services for clients, traveling to their homes, and assisting with their care needs
- If you are unqualified, this could include domestic work and cleaning in their home as well as picking up shopping for your client
- If you are qualified, this will include personal care work and assistance such as taking them to appointments, shopping, or out to see friends
- Building strong relationships with clients and their loved ones
- Ensuring client’s safety and wellbeing
- Maintaining positive communication with clients, caregivers, and the HomeCare team
- Providing open communication and reporting changes in the client’s health status

**About you**:

- Driver’s license with a fully insured & registered vehicle
- A confident, client & solutions-focused approach to your work
- Ability to work flexible hours
- A current First Aid (HLTAID003) & CPR certificate (HLTAID001)
- Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
- Working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate, etc)
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent e.g. Individual Support
- Experience in aged care, preferably in the community
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including the ability to read and interpret care plans

In line with the Victorian Government directive, all employees must be up to date with the COVID-19 vaccination requirements, and BlueCross requires all employees to have a current flu vaccination to help protect clients.
