Together with their customers, this business builds sustainable supply chain solutions, offering a full range of terminal services to optimise inland connections and to find the most efficient path to market. As a result of internal movement, the opportunity now exists for an experienced, confident and enthusiastic HR Business Partner to join the team in a part-time capacity.

Reporting to the National HR Manager, this standalone role is the point of contact for HR across the small site, which will establish trusted and influential relationships with managers and employees at all levels, providing expert HR consultation and advice, translating operational strategies into HR objectives.

You will also play an influential key role in championing the organisation’s values and expected behaviours in addition to working closely with senior HR management in supporting the business.

A diverse role, you will flex between strategic and operational activities and work with a range of stakeholders across the employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition to employee relations matters, OHS, remuneration and benefits, injury management, and capability development.

To be considered for this key role you will need to bring the following:

- Ideally, exposure to a unionised, blue collar working environment such as shipping, logistics, FMCG or other manufacturing
- Knowledgeable oversight of state and federal employment legislation and strength in managing industrial and employee relations matters
- Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems
- WorkSafe Return to Work Coordinator training will be highly regarded
- Strong relationship/stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge respectfully
- Proven ability to work at pace in a fast-paced, high-touch, change-rich business environment; you must be able to think on your feet and be comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Global & cultural awareness

Port Melbourne location with the ability to work in a hybrid arrangement. As a part-time role this can be done working shorter hours five days per week or full days 3-4 days per week.
