**About the Role**

EQUANS now have an exciting opportunity for a **State Manager **within our Electrical and Communications Business located in Osborne Park, WA.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this exciting leadership role is responsible for providing leadership to the team to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our projects within budget to our blue chip customers and lead the business/sales initiatives for growth.

**Responsibilities (however not limited to)**:

- Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer lead the WA Operations field division within the EQUANS ANZ Electrical and Communications business, to safely achieve the financial profitability and growth targets
- Overall responsibility for plant and equipment, vehicles and all operational logistics
- Mentor and coach the project managers to improve skills in project forecasting, commercial acumen and business development/sales capabilities
- Manage and lead the scheduler to ensure efficient allocation of the E&C WA labour work force
- Provide field leadership in the implementation of the EQUANS Fundamentals and EQUANS ANZ strategy to ensure future profitable growth and prosperity
- Actively contribute to the One Team approach across the EQUANS ANZ Business.
- Ensure compliance with business policies and procedures and achievement of business objectives whilst balancing the needs and expectations of your key stakeholders
- Safeguard the long-term future of the business by actively developing new business opportunities through working with project managers and working to enhance and protect the reputation of the Company brand in the local marketplace

**About you**:

- Electrical and communications Trade qualified
- Tertiary management qualifications would be highly regarded
- Extensive experience at management level
- Proven track record of innovation, profit and business improvements and revenue generation in a business operational discipline
- Experience managing and leading Project Managers and Technicians to safely, efficiently and effectively deliver services
- Strategic and financial skills
- Proven ability to manage relationships at different levels offering empowerment whilst keeping sufficient control mechanisms in place
- Visionary, with a strong desire to succeed.
- Extensive experience in negotiating with major customers and potential sellers
- Proven experience in developing a best practice organisation with a strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
