**Industry Engagement Officer**
The Australian Trade Training College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering a variety of courses across multiple industries. Due to continued growth in our VET in Schools and pre-apprenticeship programs, we are looking for a passionate Industry Engagement Officer to help us make a real impact in shaping the future career paths for our students.
Work experience provides students with a valuable and rewarding insight into their future career path. Through building strong relationships with employers, you will create opportunities for students to transfer their classroom experience into the workforce.
**About the Role**:
This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to grow, contribute, and challenge yourself. As an Industry Engagement Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting students with life-changing opportunities and forging strong relationships with our industry partners. Your day will be filled with purpose and variety, including:
- Building and nurturing lasting relationships with industry employers and stakeholders
- Securing work placement opportunities for students, especially in our priority industry sectors of electrical, plumbing, construction, engineering and automotive
- Driving results through proactive calendar management and follow-ups
- Keeping our Student Management System (SMS) bustling with up-to-date, accurate data
- Maintaining accurate records of student placements, including contact details, placement schedules and feedback from employers
- Coordinating with Heads of Department, employers and students to ensure all placements are scheduled and completed
- Responding promptly to inquiries from students, employers, schools and internal staff regarding placement related matters
- Acting as primary contact for placements and employment opportunities
- Promoting apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities

- Genuine enthusiasm and passion for helping people commence their career journey
- Thrive on challenges and eager to grow in a dynamic environment
- Have 3+ years of experience in customer engagement, business development or similar roles
- Boast exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Tech-savvy and organised, with a knack for managing tasks independently
- Brings positivity, commitment, and a “can do” attitude to everything you do
- Strong level of customer service and solution focussed
