Express Metal Products operates a state of the art laser cutting facility in Logan, Queensland.
We currently have a vacancy for a part time **Operations Support Officer**. The number of hours and when you work them are flexible however they must be within 7:30am-5pm Monday to Friday.
The role is offered with an introductory rate of $22-$28 per hour, permanent part-time, with a 6 month probation.

You will have an opportunity to work within a team of experienced manufacturers and access to our senior leadership team. You will operate in a support role designed to provide increased capability to the Production team.
The core function of the role is in the provision of ‘Administration Support’ including answering telephone enquiries, dealing with customers or other stakeholders, document scanning, digital filing, labeling, taking stock of inventory, processing invoices, responding to invoices, performing basic reconciliations **whilst assisting the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions in MYOB and our ERP software**. Through your work in this function you will learn how the business operates and there may be opportunity to supplement your role with work you are well-suited for.
You may be asked to assist the Dispatch team including picking orders, plastic wrapping, interpreting paperwork, data entry including receiving materials, managing freight consignments or quotes, packing goods or unpacking materials.
If you have the aptitude you may be asked to assist in the administration of IT resources within the organization including Windows and Linux workstations, servers, surveillance systems, alert systems, telephony and connectivity equipment, web servers, industrial automation technologies, machine learning enabled software, state of the art plant, payments systems, AV equipment, and associated peripherals.
If you have the aptitude you may be asked to assist in the administration of Human Resources within the organization including assisting with payroll, notifying team members, completing forms, drafting correspondence, assisting the Human Resources Manager with interviews, etc.
If you have the aptitude and are willing you may be asked to assist within the Production team including assisting with the Operations Coordinator in the maintenance of the factory and plant, working with the Press Brake Operators, Laser Technicians, or as part of the QA and unpicking teams.
If you have the aptitude you may be asked to assist with the Estimating Team in the interpretation and development of 2D and 3D CAD files including complex assemblies and the quoting of flat cut, folded, and/or finished, parts and assemblies. The extended Sales and Estimating Team may require assistance performing basic marketing and communications functions.
If you have the aptitude you may be asked to assist with the Programming team including managing the nesting of parts with or without tensorflow, modeling cutting or folding scenarios, exporting or programmatically modifying batches of production plans.

Ideally we hope the right person for the job grows the role into a 38, 40, or 42 hour per week full-time position over 6 months.
