**About - Communications and Marketing**
The University’s Communications and Marketing function provides strategic, advisory and operational services to support the academic mission and the University strategy. It fosters a culture of best practice and collaboration across the University’s communication and marketing teams and stakeholders and uses data-driven insights to inform decision-making across the University.

Within Communications and Marketing, the Constituent Strategy and Insights team provides practical frameworks, insights and strategic recommendations to guide priorities and delivery. The team includes both insight analytics and strategy roles and, working closely with brand strategy and market insights roles, provides a basis for communications and marketing activity. **About the Role**
Reporting to the Associate Director, Constituent Strategy and Insights, the Strategy Manager (Teaching & Learning) partners with a diverse range of stakeholders across the University, bringing together market and customer insights to form strategic recommendations regarding targeting, value propositions, student/learner experience, enabling capabilities, objectives and measures. The role also guides and supports strategy execution and key initiatives across undergraduate and postgraduate/professional audiences to drive student experience improvement, acquisition, retention, and advocacy.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the University’s student marketing strategy and activities, and to grow the University profile both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities include:

- Plan and direct the collection and consolidation of student/learner research and analysis to develop actionable insights, collaborating with market and customer insights roles and external research partners.
- Drive and support implementation of strategic recommendations via business and marketing plans, briefs, and University projects; collaborating with student marketing leads, digital, and data-driven marketing teams, as well as wider University stakeholders and project leads.
- Work with related University portfolios including service and experience design teams to review student/learner experience performance gaps and identify opportunities, integrate experience frameworks and customer insights, and support service delivery improvements.
- Contribute to the development and direction of the University Communications & Marketing function as a member of the extended leadership team.

**About You**
You have a proven ability to turn information into insights, clearly diagnose key challenges, and think systemically and creatively in forming an approach to address these challenges. You have a keen interest in (and understanding of) consumer behaviour, especially regarding the importance of brand reputation in decision-making. Your well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills enable you to navigate a complex environment and work effectively with diverse partners, influencing outcomes and gaining trust and credibility.

You will also have:

- Extensive work experience within relevant marketing/customer strategy team or consultancy role.
- Proven experience successfully designing and executing customer strategy working with customer insights and marketing teams, with deep experience and knowledge of strategic frameworks and problem-solving approaches.
- Demonstrated deep functional expertise in the leadership and management of complex, strategic and governance functions within a large and complex organisation.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with market research, customer insights and metrics.
