Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 HR Advisor on a Non Ongoing Contract for 12 months or Section 26 transfers.
**Position Overview**
You will have demonstrated experience in operating and delivering HR functions in a high profile and impactful environment. You will also bring innovation to your team and support the delivery of strategic and/or operational HR functions for the department.
We are looking for someone who:
- Brings an innovative approach to exploring options and influencing decisions supported by data and evidence, with the support of your supervisor
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and customer service focus - you understand that the customer is at the center of service delivery and strategy development
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Key organizational ability, good professional judgement and sound interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and the ability to work autonomously when needed
- The ability to use sound judgement and discretion to escalate HR queries to the responsible supervisor when needed
- Is committed to building your own cultural and disability competency.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
As a HR Advisor within the HR Help team you will:
- provide specialist advice on, and interpretation of, employee relations policy and legislation to guide managers and employees and assist in the resolution of complex issues and sensitive matters,
- undertake and manage moderately complex projects with limited supervision, including identifying areas for cross collaboration,
- manage relationships with stakeholder to achieve work area and agency goals, including the development and support of complex relationships and maintaining internal and external networks,
- contribute to the leadership, mentoring and development of junior employees,
- identify and provide feedback on efficiencies and opportunity to improve and/or streamline systems and processes,
- identify, mitigate and resolve risks and problems as they or before arise, and
- some experience or knowledge in HR related fields in desible, but not required.
This recruitment process be used to fill current vacancies, as well as future vacancies that may arise over the next 12 months.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens.
- The position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
