About the role:
Do you have experience with strategic sourcing and contract management? Do you have clear and concise communication skills to enable you to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders? The primary purpose of this role is to utilize the Council's Procurement Policy and Procedures to undertake strategic sourcing and contract management activities that support the delivery of Council's annual contracting plan.

Responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for the planning, baselining, market analysis, development and execution of procurement strategies related to goods and services categories driven by Council's annual contracting plan.
- Contribute to the effective contract management of suppliers.
- Under supervision, assist the Senior Procurement Officer with the preparation of Category plans.
- Provision of clear and concise communication and documentation related to procurement and contracting processes and procedures, including contracts, project briefs, evaluation reports and contract award documentation.

About you:

- Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Local Government Act and Local Government Regulations relating to Procurement and Contracts.
- Demonstrated achievement in the development, delivery and execution of procurement strategies for the provision of goods and services.
