Overview

Contract Administrator role to support civil and commercial concreting projects and sports court construction. This is an office-based, full-time position.

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Administering and negotiating construction contracts for our projects
  • Negotiating and managing variations, claims and disputes
  • Working closely with project teams to align contracts with project needs
  • Preparing progress claims, payment certificates, and financial reports
  • Monitoring contractor performance and compliance
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder and subcontractor relationships
  • Conducting contract risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Supporting resolution of contractual disputes, explaining the terms and conditions of the contracts
  • Staying current with industry standards and legal requirements
  • Maintain and update master data related to contracts
  • Maintain accurate contract records and escalate contractual issues when required
Minimum requirements
  • At least 1 year contract admin experience in construction
  • At least a AQF Diploma in contract or project management
  • Strong understanding of contracts, legislation, codes, and standards
  • Skilled in negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to contract processes
  • Proficient in the use of Xero and Fergus software programs, and their synchronisation
  • Experienced with the MS Office Suite, including spreadsheets and other relevant software for accurate project record keeping (contract amounts & variations; material schedules; retentions held & payable)
  • Able to manage documentation associated with project contracts
