Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation and is committed to its mission to prevent aquatic related death and injury across all Victorian communities.

**How will this position contribute to Life Saving Victoria’s mission?**

Reporting to the media and communications manager, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for driving best practice on Life Saving Victoria’s social media channels. You will lead the development and implementation of strategic social media content and campaigns, creating, editing and publishing content that supports Life Saving Victoria’s strategy.

This is a fulltime or part time, fixed-term position. In return, Life Saving Victoria will provide a great work environment, variety, employee benefits including salary packaging, and great office amenities and facilities.

The role will be based in Port Melbourne, with the ability to work from home or from regional offices.

**Who are you?**

This position will ideally suit a social media professional with experience in the development, review and editing of digital content for consumer contexts, including online moderation and/or extensive customer service skills. Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, writing and editing, marketing or another related discipline, or equivalent experience, is essential. The successful applicant will have experience using Facebook Business Suite, Business Manager, and content management tools, as well as demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective paid and organic content across a range of digital channels.
