About The Role:

This role directly supports the growth of the iSelect business by using your creative, performance and digital media skillset to drive social engagement, sales, customer growth and brand metrics in order to achieve lead, ROl and brand targets. Detail and diligence in taking on board feedback and coordinating all elements of the social execution are a must, organisation skills will stand you in good stead.

Reporting into the Head of Social Media, we're looking for a well organised strategic/creative minded Social Media Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving social results through smart, data-backed creative executions. This role will own the end-to-end social media process-from campaign ideation and creative briefing to execution, approvals, reporting, and optimisation at all levels of the marketing funnel.

What You’ll Do:

Channel Performance, optimisation and strategy

- Develop and deliver detailed creative briefs for social media campaigns, aligning with brand voice, campaign objectives, and target audience.
- Collaborate closely with an external creative agency to ensure timely and high-quality content production. · Coordinate internal approval workflows across marketing, legal, and brand teams.
- Ensure all assets meet platform specs, brand guidelines, and compliance requirements before publishing.
- Own and manage day-to-day social media operations across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that balances brand storytelling, promotional campaigns, and community engagement.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics across paid and organic posts, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with paid media specialists to align social activity with performance marketing goals and optimise campaign efficiency.
- Test and iterate on formats, messaging, and targeting based on performance data and consumer insights.
- Use social listening tools to monitor brand sentiment and competitive activity.
- Contribute to broader marketing campaigns with social-first thinking and insight-driven content strategies.
- Collaborate with other channels, and product teams to amplify content and ensure alignment with customer journeys. · Stay on top of emerging trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to keep our social presence fresh, relevant, and competitive.
- Work with cross-functional teams (and agencies) to ensure ad-serving is setup effectively measure performance of campaigns down to performance / brand related metrics to be easily communicated to business stakeholders
- Contribute to an agile working environment within the cross functional performance team/squad to support real-time optimisation and performance management

Internal & External Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with internal Brand team and our Social Media agency on our Paid Digital Media plan to support brand objectives. Take ownership of the digital execution plan, forecasting and implementation.
- Present channel strategies to the wider marketing team and marketing managers
- Contribute and present (where required) at vertical working group huddles outlining channel performance and plans
- Work collaboratively with marketing business partners on channel forecasting, planning, performance and general communication
- Manage supplier relationships relevant to channel ownership (Meta, Video and Display)
- Be the point of contact for all external suppliers related to paid social, video and display performance media

- Proactively lead and drive your own development with your direct leader.

What You’ll Bring:

Skills and Experience

- At least 3+ years’ experience working in a social-first or performance marketing orientated role
- Strong experience of digital media performance channels (Meta, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube,
- etc)
- Proven ability to manage content calendars, creative workflows, and approval processes efficiently.
- Knowledge and understanding of overall digital marketing performance channels and technology (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager)
- Ideally have hands on experience using website analytics tools – Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
- Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment and meeting daily/monthly lead targets

- Use data analysis from advertising metrics to funnel continuation and engagement to tailor creative and user journeys

- Ability to work under pressure and be agile with implementing volumes of marketing campaigns

- Ability to work as a team to co-ordinate, optimise and implement performance marketing campaigns Ability to work with other marketing functions to support content creation for performance marketing

- Problem solving skills to analyse new opportunities and remedy existing inefficiencies

Ability to work well under pressure

- Manage competing priorities in extremely fast paced, high volume environment
- Ability to be reactive and agile with performance marketing campaigns based on changing sales conditions.

Growth attitude

- An established test and learn approach, and the genuine desire to constantly stretch yourself outside of your core remit

Qualifications

- Tertiary degree in Marketing/Business/Commerce or IT/ Digital related field preferred
- 3+ years min experience working in a marketing role with hands on experience
- Relevant platform qualifications/certifications desired
- Experience working within acquisition-focused business is advantageous
