We're now seeking a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our passionate and fast-paced team at our Port Melbourne Head Office.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Social Media & Marketing Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in bringing the Mossman brand story to life across all digital touchpoints. You'll assist in executing the brand's marketing strategy, from social content creation and influencer partnerships to campaign coordination and brand events.
This is a hands-on role where creativity, organisation, and attention to detail are key. You'll collaborate closely with the Creative Director, design team, and e-commerce department to ensure every piece of communication aligns with Mossman's elevated aesthetic and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
- Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and campaign content in collaboration with the wider team.
- Research and stay ahead of global fashion, social, and digital trends to ensure Mossman remains at the forefront of the industry.
- Write compelling captions that reflect Mossman's tone of voice and drive engagement.
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Support the execution of seasonal campaign launches and photoshoots, including run sheets, and post-production tasks.
- Coordinate PR and influencer outreach, including seeding programs, gifting, and event support.
- Help develop marketing collateral and branded communications across wholesale, retail, and digital channels.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track social media performance, engagement rates, and campaign results to inform future strategy.
- Support the Social Media & Marketing Manager with competitor and trend analysis.
Team Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with the e-commerce, design, and operations teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Assist with marketing activations, pop-ups, and events as required.
About You
We are looking for a passionate storyteller who understands the intersection of fashion, culture, and digital content. You thrive on creating scroll-stopping visuals, compelling copy, and campaigns that connect with audiences.
You will bring:
- 1–2 years' experience in a social media, marketing or digital role (fashion industry experience highly regarded).
- A creative mindset and a natural eye for design, composition, and detail.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
- Experience with content planning, editing and scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Planoly, Canva, CapCut, or similar).
- An understanding of influencer marketing and PR best practices.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small but high-performing team.
- A multi tasker, with a can do attitude.
- Super passionate, who eats, breathes social media.
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a genuine love for fashion and brand storytelling.
