Advisor, NSW Government Social Media, Temporary, Sydney - Hybrid Working
As Social Media Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to lead content creation for various social media channels in line with the overarching strategy. You’ll tackle a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from public holidays and sporting events to law changes and community consultations.
Your day-to-day will include identifying stories, creating excellent (and varied) content for paid and organic posts, stakeholder engagement, and managing a community of more than 250,000 people. As part of a small, high-performing social media team you won’t be afraid to pitch in and help where needed.
The Social Media Advisor role sits within the NSW Government Digital Channels team. The team is responsible for the strategic direction of whole-of-government digital channels. You will be surrounded by people with skills in content, media, UX, social media, marketing and more.
**Your key day to day responsibilities may include**:
- Assisting in managing social media channels, including posting, moderation and advertising to exceed social objectives and create an exceptional customer experience.
- Leading the creation of content, including ideation, planning, copywriting, design, video and photo production to create informative and engaging communication.
- Monitoring and reporting on key optimisation metrics to improve social media performance.
- Communicating and engaging in social discussion and delegate or respond to audience requests/enquiries to create a two-way dialogue with the community.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships with a focus on building social media literacy across the cluster.
- Participating in whole-of-government social media projects to enhance the social media experience for people in NSW.
**To be successful in this role you should demonstrate**:
- 2+ years in a similar role. Strong paid experience desirable.
- Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work across multiple tasks and a desire to build strong partnerships.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strong content.
- Fluency in delivery of social media reports.
- Illustrator or Photoshop experience desirable.
- Strong understanding of social media landscape and a keen eye to discover viral trends
**What we need from you**:
Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101947 base plus superannuation
