**Position Information**:
Yennora Public School is located in south-western Sydney, in the Local Government Area of Fairfield and is part of the Auburn network of schools. The current enrolment of 244 students is culturally and linguistically diverse with 94% of students from non-English speaking backgrounds. Arabic has a representation of 54% with the remaining enrolments representing 26 different language backgrounds. There are currently three students enrolled who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The school's Support Unit has seven classes catering for students with severe to moderate intellectual disability and autism.
Yennora Public School is allocated equity funds to meet the additional needs of students from low socio economic status backgrounds, students who have learning and support needs and students learning English as an additional language or dialect. The school employs a bilingual Community Liaison Officer one day a week to assist parents to become engaged with the school and establish positive partnerships that support the students' schooling. Furthermore, the school employs additional School Learning Support Officers to support tiered intervention programs targeting improved student learning outcomes.
Yennora Public School values its partnerships with community organisations ensuring the provision of speech therapist, occupational therapists and high quality wellbeing and transition programs. Links with local pre schools, partner primary and high schools are forged and maintained via these programs.

Demonstrated capacity to build and foster strong connections and collaboration across the school community for continuous improvement in learning and wellbeing.
Ability to lead curriculum reform and build staff efficacy and collaboration to maximise student growth and attainment.

1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
