**Position Information**:
Earlwood Public School is located in the inner west of Sydney and is part of the Beverly Hills Principals Network. The school has an enrolment of 624 students with 75% of students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect background and 7 students from an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background. The school acknowledges the Wangal, Bedigal and Kameygal people of the Eora Nation.
Earlwood Public School has two Opportunity Classes supporting high potential and intellectually gifted students; as well as a support class for students with a physical disability. The school hosts a team of itinerant teachers who support students in schools with vision impairment. The school supports the development and care for students through the involvement of community volunteers and provision of Before and After School Care.
An extensive array of extra-curricular opportunities including sport, academic challenges, public speaking, debating, coding, robotics, chess, creative and performing arts (including dance, choir and band) and environmental initiatives, enable students to excel.
Working in partnership with an active Parents & Citizens Association, teachers, parents and students work towards school excellence to maintain high expectations and develop responsible, engaged and successful learners who are known, valued and cared for.

- Demonstrated ability as an innovative, strategic leader to drive continuous school improvement focused on high expectations and school excellence to deliver the NSW Plan for Public Education within a dynamic school setting.
**General Selection Criteria**:
 1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
