**Position Information**:
Holsworthy Public School is a vibrant and multicultural learning community located in the Liverpool LGA. The school is part of the Chipping Norton Principal Network. Holsworthy Public School proudly serves approximately 560 students, with over 70% coming from non-English speaking backgrounds and a significant proportion from Australian Defence Force families. Approximately 3% of students are from an indigenous background.

The school hosts an opportunity class and the school’s student parliament empowers students to contribute to school decision-making. A Defence School Mentor provides additional support to students and families.

Holsworthy Public School is part of a well-established community of schools, collaborating with Hammondville Public School, Wattle Grove Public School and Holsworthy High School to develop high-quality programs. An active P&C works in collaboration with the school to enhance opportunities for students and families.

The school recently completed a new 2025-2028 School Excellence Plan focused on student growth and attainment, HGPE and student wellbeing and engagement.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach. In addition to the general selection criteria:
A. Visible leadership and the ability to develop a long-term vision for Holsworthy Public School that promotes a high expectations culture for the school and its community.

B. Capacity to lead the implementation of the department’s High Potential and Gifted Education Policy for all teachers and all students, including an opportunity class.

C. Skills to work collaboratively with parents and the wider school community to enhance student wellbeing and inclusive educational practices.

D. Expertise in building staff capacity to implement explicit teaching strategies in a consistent and schoolwide manner to lift student outcomes.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
