HeadBox is on the hunt for an Event Manager to join our rapidly expanding team. We’re Australia’s fastest growing event tech brand, on a mission to reinvent the global events industry through human-kind event technology.

HeadBox partners with organisations to support them in delivering their annual program of events. Ranging from single-day conferences to destination events, this role offers a huge range of variety for a highly-skilled event manager. We’re an ambitious team with big goals and are looking for someone who is ready to join a high-growth brand with an abundance of opportunity.

We work with our clients as an extension of their team in delivering their events, and this is where you come in. We’re looking for a professional who is experienced in delivering multi-faceted, high-value events, spinning the multiple plates and is highly personable with clients.

**The Role**

The Event Manager role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane and will work on events from start to finish for events across Australia. We are looking for someone ambitious, a self-starter, a problem solver, a creative, and ready to get stuck in This role will require a minimum of four years’ event management experience. Confidence and organisation will be key to this role, as you correspond with a range of senior stakeholders and manage multiple events and tasks.

You will be reporting directly to the Event Management Lead.

**Responsibilities**
- **Event Management**: you will be responsible for managing the event from start to finish; from pitching the original concept and project management of key deadlines, through to contract negotiation, supplier engagement and management, stakeholder management, preparing pre-event documents, onsite delivery and debrief.

You will present and pitch the event experience to senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility, whilst handling their feedback and objections, and providing creative solutions..
- **Commercial Acumen**:you will be required to manage clients budgets, negotiate on costs as well as understand the appropriate resourcing requirements needed for an event. We are looking for someone commercially minded to ensure budgets are managed efficiently and accurately.
- **Excellent Customer Service**: we put clients at the centre of everything we do, including delivering brilliant customer service at every touchpoint. High written and verbal skills and attention to detail are essential.
- **Client Relationships**: building and retaining strong relationships with your clients will be at the centre of your role, which will ensure you are their go-to event planner and manager for their next event.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**:we’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who holds a minimum of 4 years’ experience in managing events, is a team player and can confidently manage a wider onsite team as well as managing multiple supplier and stakeholders requirements.
- **Attention to detail**: you’ll be dealing with multiple events at any one time so it is imperative you are detail-oriented and organised.
- **Hardworking**: at a start-up you will be required to wear many hats, balancing lots of responsibilities at once and have a can-do attitude.
